Job Title: Asset Information and Data Engineer

Location: Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Works, Dublin

Type: Full-time /On-site / Hybrid

Department: Operations & Maintenance / Asset Management

 

Job Purpose:

To manage and improve the quality, structure, and reporting of asset data across the Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Works. This includes driving data integrity in PEMAC(CMMS), developing plant availability KPIs, and supporting decision-making through timely, accurate asset performance reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimise the PEMAC CMMS to ensure accurate asset hierarchies, maintenance records, and work order tracking.
  • Develop, implement, and report plant availability and reliability KPIs, including MTBF, MTTR, downtime analysis, and asset criticality.
  • Ensure site safety file is up to date as according to the asset register.
  • Respond to requests for information from the Client; collate and communicate asset related data as required.
  • Ensure data quality across all maintenance and asset-related systems, including correct asset tagging, fault codes, and failure modes.
  • Support the Operations and Maintenance teams by delivering daily, weekly, and monthly asset performance dashboards.
  • Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and external contractors to ensure timely and complete data entry into PEMAC.
  • Develop and maintain processes for capturing and analysing breakdown and maintenance trends to inform predictive strategies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in asset lifecycle management and maintenance optimisation.
  • Support audit and regulatory compliance through effective data management and traceability.
  • Follow up the procurement of spares used for service and repairs,
  • Support stores to maintain spares for critical assets .
  • Maintain close relationship with team leaders, supervisors and maintenance technicians that maintenance technicians are assigned the work orders, acted on and closed in a timely manner with detailed descriptions of actions taken, equipment handovers to operations are completed.

Required Skills &Experience:

Technical:

  • Hands-on experience with PEMAC or another CMMS (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM, Infor EAM).
  • Strong knowledge of plant availability metrics and maintenance performance KPIs.
  • Competence in Excel, and preferably Power BI, for generating automated reports and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes or utility infrastructure preferred.

 

Data & Digital:

  • High attention to detail and data integrity in maintenance systems.
  • Experience in analysing maintenance trends, failure data, and operational logs.
  • Understanding of maintenance workflows, asset hierarchies, and job scheduling processes.

 

Sector Experience:

  • Proven experience in wastewater, utilities, manufacturing, or plant-based operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant certifications in CMMS/Asset Management (e.g., PEMAC training, IAM Certificate) – desirable.

Key Relationships:

  • Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians.
  • Plant Engineers and Control Room Operators.
  • CMMS/Data Admins and IT Support.
  • Contractors and OEMs.
  • Uisce Eireann or relevant public authority (where applicable).

 

Additional Notes:

  • Experience with condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, or SCADA integration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting and environmental compliance in the water sector is desirable.
