People come first at CAW. Their health, safety, and wellbeing are paramount. We foster a continuous improvement culture and prioritise the welfare of our employees, suppliers, contractors, clients, and the communities we serve to empower them and prevent harm.

Prioritising Health and Safety

As a business, and as individuals within CAW we take responsibility for preventing accidents and ill health, to protect each other and our community. Nothing we do is so important that we can't find time to do it safely.

Accredited to ISO 45001, we prioritise health and safety for all. Our robust, proactive system sets clear, measurable objectives and commits us to continual improvement. Our approach incorporates industry-leading process safety practices, emphasising training and risk prevention.

Reducing Mental Health Stigma

We aim to create a stigma-free environment and an open and supportive culture where our team are open to talking about mental health - having somewhere to go when they are struggling.

We’re proud to be a See Change Workplace. We have actively implemented a 6-step programme to create an open culture around mental health in the workplace and to reduce the stigma associated with mental health problems. This includes:

  • Promotion of our mental health policy and provision of training across all levels.
  • Training, informing and champions team-wide to provide support and manage initiatives across CAW.
  • Encouraging team and public engagement in mental health wellbeing initiatives.
