CAW collaborates with partners on numerous projects and initiatives across Ireland and the UK, including Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) to deliver sustainable and innovative solutions and ensure successful contract delivery.

These strategic alliances are built on trust, open communication, and leveraging the best expertise from each party to achieve exceptional results right from the earliest stages of each project.

Collaboration: The Key To Success

A collaborative working framework is essential to the success and effective design, build and ongoing operation of infrastructure. CAW ensure effective collaboration through:

Early Stakeholder Engagement

We involve all key parties from the design phase or pre-contract stage, ensuring aligned expectations and agreed KPIs. Ongoing interactions and site meetings continue, to ensure effective delivery of the project or contract.

Interface Management

Our dedicated Interface Managers enable smooth project execution whilst maintaining safety, compliance and operational excellence, through regular contact and coordination meetings, reporting, and streamlined permit and handover processes.

Transparent Information Sharing

We use advanced management and design software and Common Data Environments (CDE) to enable information sharing and digital collaboration to promote informed, collective decision-making.

Continuous Monitoring of Project and Performance Metrics

The team regularly assess and aligns cost, time, and quality parameters across teams, to ensure that everyone is working towards shared objectives and promote an ethos of continuous optimisation.

Collaborative Innovation and Risk Management

We facilitate open dialogue across the business and with stakeholders to develop the most effective solutions, and share responsibility in managing risks proactively.

Strategic Joint Ventures

The successful delivery of large, complex projects often requires the formation of joint ventures, where multiple contractors and partners contribute specialised knowledge, experience, and expertise. Through strategic alliances with key partners, we ensure the seamless execution and operation of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects, resulting in the best outcomes for our clients.

In 2020, we partnered with Farrans Construction and TES Group to form the FaCT3 Consortium. This collaboration combines our diverse skill sets and resources to deliver highly efficient and effective solutions. As part of the consortium, we have successfully delivered major upgrade projects for Uisce Éireann, including:

Frameworks and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI)

Early collaboration with clients and partner contractors under major frameworks is crucial for the efficient, cost-effective development and implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects. By engaging in these frameworks we enhance value through quality and cost management, promote environmental sustainability and create social value.

CAW currently partners with other leading contractors on Uisce Éireann’s 16-030 and 21-027 Major MEICA Frameworks, and NI Water’s IF106 Major Project Partnership Framework.

As part of the FaCT3 Consortium, as the Lot 3 Process MEICA partner under NI Water’s IF106 Framework, we are actively involved in the ECI Phase of two significant NI Water infrastructure projects in Belfast. This includes the development of a modern pumping station at Sydenham and the extensive upgrade of Kinnegar WwTW.

A Strong Supply Chain

To deliver high-quality solutions that ensure long-term value and reliability, we leverage a robust, experienced supply chain, engaging specialists who bring deep expertise to every phase. Working with industry-leading technology providers such as CAMBI, Huber, Xylem, Jenbacher, Hach, Royal HaskoningDHV and Seepex enables us to integrate innovation and value across all projects.

Alongside working with leading suppliers, we engage with local contractors and businesses where possible, to enhance prosperity in the regions we work in.

Part of the Anglian Water Group

As the Irish subsidiary of Anglian Water Group, one of the largest UK water companies, CAW benefits from extensive expertise and innovation from across the group, which enables us to deliver the highest quality solutions for our clients.

We also work in partnership with our sister company Alpheus to support the successful delivery of major contracts and projects for industrial and municipal clients across the UK, including providing commercial and managerial support to deliver a water strategy for the development of a new major power station in the East of England.
