Major £1.2bn Framework Awarded

Celtic Anglian Water (CAW) as part of the TES-CAW JV has been selected as a Partner to NI Water to support the delivery of its £1.2bn Capital Investment Programme through the Major Project Partnering Framework (MPPF).  The launch event recently took place at the Dunsilly Hotel, marking the kick-off of the new framework, which will run for an initial four-year period, with the option to extend for a further four years. The MPPF will play a very significant role in reversing the under-investment in Northern Ireland’s water and wastewater infrastructure, which continues to impact negatively on the local economy and environment.

CAW and Tyrone based TES Group have a long-standing working partnership and proven track record of successfully delivering innovative water and wastewater treatment solutions throughout the UK and Ireland. As an integral part of a  new NI Water Integrated Framework Team, consisting of the best innovative providers within the construction supply chain locally, nationally, and internationally, the TES-CAW JV will participate in a project investment programme focused on delivering major upgrades to water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and network mains whilst at the same time ensuring that all projects are successfully delivered in a safe, sustainable and economically advantageous manner.

The unique Framework model is one of the first of its kind to be rolled out in Northern Ireland and represents a move toward integrative partnering and collaboration.  The aim is to build upon the strengths of each contractor, whilst fostering collaboration, embracing innovation and cutting-edge technologies to provide NI Water and its customers with world class, industry leading solutions.

The new MPP Framework will see the delivery of multiple projects with a value in excess of £10m. The TES-CAW JV has been appointed to provide their specialist expertise in Process Engineering, MEICA Design and Construction having successfully delivered numerous major water and wastewater treatment projects in the past.

CAW’s Managing Director, Declan Maguire commented; “This Framework will deliver sustainable, world-class water service to NI Water customers for many years to come significantly benefiting the local community, and we in the TES-CAW JV are delighted to be part of that Framework. We will bring our water industry experience from across the UK and Ireland to the Framework and we are committed to working with others to deliver the best solutions for customers in Northern Ireland.”
